Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management: Utilise your existing list of collectors to foster relationships and expand the client base. Engaging with galleries and institutions to develop long-term partnerships is a bonus.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities within the art world. Develop strategies to attract high-profile clients and maintain a robust pipeline.
  • Execution: Independently negotiate and close deals, leveraging your expertise in the art market. Provide clients with knowledgeable and personalised service, ensuring their needs are met and expectations surpassed.
  • Art World Knowledge: Stay abreast of current trends and movements in the art world. Utilise company’s extensive database to offer informed recommendations and insights to clients.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent the company at art events, exhibitions, and fairs. Embody the brand’s values and ethos, expanding its reputation and reach within the art community.

We are looking for a candidate with senior art world knowledge and experience as an independent Art Advisor, Gallery Director or Partner, or the equivalent in an auction house who will be fully engaged and enthusiastic about the company’s success. 

 

Requirements

  • Art Knowledge: Deep understanding of art history, market trends and mechanics.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the art world, preferably advising, curating, or client-facing role in a gallery or auction house.
  • Client Network: An existing list of clients and a proven track record of maintaining and expanding client relationships, generating leads, negotiating, and closing deals autonomously.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, art fairs, and exhibitions.
