We are on the hunt for a Salesperson with connections in Monaco or France to work with an International Contemporary gallery.

About:
Our client is a Contemporary New York Gallery and already has an international team working off site for their New York space. They have recently launched a new space in Europe. The gallery is looking to expand their network and find an experienced Salesperson with connections in Monaco or St Paul de Vence to work remotely.
Role Specification: 
  • Contribute to the EU, US and online programming of the gallery
  • Will work closely with US staff
  • Source artworks for sale by private collectors, consultants and/or galleries
  • Drive sales
  • Manage the gallery’s sales pipeline and utilise its CRM system to maximise sales
  • Implement sales strategies for existing clients and develop strategies to attract new clients
  • Nurture online sales growth through the gallery’s presence on online platforms (e.g., Artsy and Artnet) and online exhibitions
  • Represent the gallery at industry events
  • Oversee research and development with sales director and marketing consultant
 Candidate Specification: 
  • Must be well informed on events happening in Europe and up to date with art market
  • Relevant experience working in the commercial art world
  • Passion and drive to sell art and grow artists’ markets
  • Proven network of collectors internationally
  • Proven track record of sales and strategic placement
  • Comprehensive knowledge of primary and secondary sales
  • Comfortable working remotely
  • Energetic and able to remain in contact despite time difference and location
  • Dedicated and trustworthy, flexible and enthusiastic.
Salary: ideally this role would be freelance so an hourly rate plus commission would apply (open to candidate expectations) but client would consider a permanent contract as well
