Our client is a multidisciplinary artist, specialized in sculpture, exploring a multitude of media notably through installations that include photography, film, and performance.
About the role
Our client’s studio is divided between Paris, another location in France and the US, with a team consisting of a Studio Manager, a Master Craftsman, a Technical Director and a network of freelancers, as well as a team dedicated to the artist’s Foundation. We are on the hunt for a complementary profile based in Paris to supervise all projects and teams, and to support and relieve the artist in the production of their projects, works and exhibitions.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategy and global vision of the artist’s atelier
- Orchestration and production of works, projects and exhibitions
- Management of internal and external teams
- Negotiating the studio’s interests and defending the artist’s vision
- Setting up a general organisation to relieve the artist’s workload and benefit the creative process
Missions:
- Production
- General supervision of projects: presentation files, allocation of tasks, financial reports and activity reports, bank-casting
- Budget management for exhibitions, projects and works
- Coordination of teams and project participants (travel, missions, financial aspects)
- Coordination of the production of the works
- Coordination of non-profit activities with the Foundation
- Negotiation
- Relations and contracts with galleries, institutions, film producers/distributors, etc.
- Project financing (public and private)
- Track sales of works and editions (lithographs, sculpture editions with publishers, etc.)
- Strategy/Management
- Team management (internal and external)
- Prospecting and development of new projects and new partners
- Overview of workshop activities
