Our client is looking for a Piano Technician to work within the operations team to support the department.

Job Summary

As a Piano Technician, you are a skilled professional and will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of pianos under our client’s care. You will work closely with a team to manage the day-to-day movements of pianos, providing essential technical expertise and professionalism throughout the process. 

This position does not require driving responsibilities.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in assessing the condition of pianos, diagnosing issues accurately, and performing precise adjustments and repairs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, integrity, and respect for clients, colleagues and pianos.
  • Physical Requirements: This is a physically demanding role and piano technicians should be capable of lifting and moving heavy objects, including pianos, with proper technique and safety precautions.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-Day Movements: Assist in the transportation and handling of pianos within our facilities and during on-site visits with clients. Collaborate with team members to coordinate logistics efficiently.
  • Paperwork and Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including condition reports, service records, and other documentation accurately and promptly. Maintain organized records of services provided.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate professionally and effectively with clients regarding service appointments, recommendations, and any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Professionalism: Handle pianos with care and professionalism at all times, ensuring their safety and integrity during transportation, maintenance, and storage.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and staff members to prioritize tasks, share knowledge, and support each other in achieving department goals.
  • Health & Safety and Environment: You will always before undertaking any job consider the safety of the freight and any persons within the vicinity of the job space. Ensure a member of the team is vigilant at all times during the operation of any machinery being used.
