Export Packer
Responsible to: Head Packer
Responsible for: None
Aim: To support the Head Packer in the safe packing of all goods in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System, procedures and protocols
Specific responsibilities include:
- To pack items in accordance with instructions and ensuring that all pieces mentioned on the packing sheet are packed and recorded
- When packing items: To ensure that packing sheets are completed including materials used, weights and dimensions, and seal numbers for airfreight shipments; contents of shipments are listed and condition reported; cases are clearly labeled with client name and specific reference number; airfreight shipments are steelbanded and sealed.
- To pack a range of art works, furniture, personal affects as required and to a high standard for international air freight.
- To receive in-house training for packing as required.
- To use Articheck and perform condition reports as required.
- To inform the Head Packer of any irregularities
- To keep the packing room clean, tidy and free from any dangerous obstacles at all times.
To ensure that absolutely no visitors enter that packing area without a valid ‘visitor pass’ generated from the office irrespective to whether the visitors are known to the company and that no visitor is left unattended at any time whilst in the packing area.
