Job Title: Director
Availability: Immediate
Contract type: Full-time (5 days a week including Saturday from 10 am to 7pm)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Salary: Around 6,000 – 8,000 USD per month plus commission on sale
Languages required: English (fluent) & Arabic and French (preferably)
Requirements :
-Commercial and managerial experience in the art industry
-Knowledge of art history and the art market
-Excellent communication skills
-Flexibility and availability to travel in the Gulf region
-Self-motivated and hardworking
Responsibilities :
The role will include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
–Team Management
-Responsible for managing the team in Dubai and the day-to-day running of the gallery
–Sales and Client Relationship
-Attend clients and provide a comfortable environment to all gallery visitors
-Actively engage in selling artworks and promote the artists of the gallery
-Prospect for new collectors and maintain contact with existing collectors
-Propose and develop strategies to increase the visitors flow at the gallery
-Establish the gallery as a main actor in the regional art market
-Attending networking events on behalf of the gallery, entertaining clients outside of usual gallery hours and travelling in the Middle-East region to enhance client development
-Being a figure head for the gallery and striving to enhance and build upon the gallery’s reputation at all times.
This includes the presence at Abu Dhabi Art Fair in November and Dubai Art Fair in March.
