Our client is an established, international Gallery with 3 galleries globally, including London. Specializing in works of art from antiquity through to the modern era, offering its clients expert advice and service, and an exciting programme of exhibitions and events.
About the role
The gallery seeks a Sales Associate to join its London team. The position is based in London. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of sales experience in the art sector. The candidate will have good knowledge of the art market.
Responsibilities:
- Be the key point person in the Gallery for the public open days, engaging with customers and guiding them through the exhibitions
- Focus on selling also through proactive lead generation – identifying prospective clients through networking, sales tools, events, etc
- Developing innovative sales strategies to achieve targets
- Ensure smooth running of the gallery from a Sales perspective, working with Gallery Manager for general inventory of works etc.
- Sourcing art works for the gallery through own connections and contacts

- Proven sales experience (2-5 years)
- Natural ability to engage with people
- Exceptional customer service and storytelling skills
- Effective communication skills both with internal team and clients
- Advanced negotiation skills

- Experience in other systems like Trello (preferable)

Location: London
Salary: £30k plus commission up to 10% of net profit
