About the Role
The client is seeking a proactive Digital Account Director with a passion for the cultural and creative industries to join their London team. The position has been created to meet the growing needs of their clients across a range of digital channels, with a particular focus on paid activity.The candidate will take on responsibility for three key areas: campaign delivery, business development, and internal guidance and development. Working alongside their team, you will bring your expertise and skills to add value to the client’s communications campaigns, acting as a key client contact and contributing to the agency’s wider development. The role is instrumental to the agency and sits at the centre of digital campaigns across the cultural and creative industries, including contemporary art, heritage, performing arts, literature, design, and architecture, and film.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the development and delivery of digital marketing campaigns on behalf of their clients, including:
- Creating detailed audits of clients’ digital channels
- Providing strategic guidance on how to optimize performance across clients’ channels (including the integration of their websites and social media platforms)
- Managing an overall digital marketing budget across relevant channels
- Delivering against client KPIs and demonstrating clear ROI
- Contribute towards the agency’s business development, working on new business generation and tenders focusing on digital communications.
- Manage the agency’s digital development, up-skilling staff on digital marketing practices and tools.
- Manage external agency relationships and subcontractors where required.
- Work in a flexible manner across a range of existing and prospective clients and be willing to undertake other duties as reasonably requested.
Campaign Delivery
- Plan and implement digital marketing strategies encompassing the following key areas of expertise:
- Paid Social
- Display advertising
- Paid Search
- Search Engine Optimization
- Create engaging and relevant digital content, adapted to suit multiple platforms.
- Build campaigns using Facebook Business Manager, Twitter Ads Manager and Google Ads /Ad Manager.
- Manage the delivery of digital assets including:
- Briefing creative teams with technical requirements (formats and lengths) and narratives to ensure the best performance on each platform
- Proofing and signing off assets to agreed schedules and within budget
- Provide support regarding community management – advising clients on how to respond to queries arising from social media platforms. Closely monitor the success of campaigns, using analytics to make strategic decisions about content and future activity.
- Produce detailed reports for campaigns and present these to clients in a compelling, comprehensible way.
- Implement a consistent reporting system across the agency, instilling the ethos of targets, measurement, and ROI across the whole team.
Internal Development
- Feed into the strategic direction of the consultancy’s own digital channels (NB you will not be responsible for the day-to-day management of these channels, which are managed by a social media team).
- Keep the agency updated on digital trends, activities, and tools in the sector and beyond.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in executing successful marketing campaigns across digital channels
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical skills and experience in data-led decision-making
- Ability to manage social media platforms and their corresponding ad accounts (primary requirements are Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, with Linkedin also desirable)
- Ability to manage search and displays ads across Google platforms
- Command of marketing and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Ability to create social-first content (static and video)
- Proven ability to brief and manage external suppliers, including digital content producers
Desirable
- Experience working within the arts and culture industry
- Experience recruiting and managing partnerships with social media influencers
- Knowledge of email management software
Holidays
- 25 days per annum plus all UK public and bank holidays.
- In addition, the agency currently operates discretionary closure of at least a week over Christmas and the New Year, in addition to staff leave entitlement.
Pension
The client offers a workplace pension plan with Royal London currently with 5% employee and 3% employer contributions after passing a 3-month probation period.

Working Hours : Full-Time, (37.5 hours per week, including lunch break)
Location : London – currently operate a hybrid model with 3 days at the office, and 2 days working from home.
Salary : £50k – £60k+ per annum DOE
