Our client is a well-established Modern and Post-War Art Gallery with locations in Spain and Paris. They are seeking a commercially minded Sales Manager to join their Paris team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Owners & Director on the commercial strategy for the Paris gallery
- Contribute to the Paris gallery’s annual target for sales & purchases
- Planning & preparation of exhibitions and events in the Paris gallery
- Produce engaging content for commercial gallery communications
- Front of house client-facing role at the Paris gallery
- Participate as part of the sales team at international art fairs including Art|Basel Miami Beach, Art|Basel Hong Kong, TEFAF Maastricht & TEFAF New York among others
- Creation of commercial descriptions for new & existing works
Candidate Specifications:
- A France/Paris-based client portfolio or knowledge of Collections/Collectors
- Commercially minded people person
- In depth knowledge of Post-War art in Europe, especially in Paris is essential, knowledge of Spanish Post-War art a bonus
- Good working knowledge of the Parisian art market ecosystem
- Experience in a reputable auction house and/or a FIAC gallery is ideal
- Fluency in French & English essential, Spanish a bonus
