Our client is looking for an ambitious, commercially-minded sales director to lead the sales and appraisals teams through a period of significant growth.

Working closely with the MD and Finance Director, the Sales Director will play a pivotal role within the company’s senior leadership team and will be responsible for setting the strategy to deliver against revenue targets.

Key responsibilities:
• Working closely with the FD and MD to produce company forecasts, with specific input into budgeting of sales and sales-related headcount
• Line managing the heads of sales and appraisals across the company, and overseeing recruitment for all new roles within these teams
• Overseeing all sales-related KPIs (relating to both performance and processes), including developing strategies to achieve them, and onboarding all department heads to ensure their delivery
• Managing and developing all sales processes, including overseeing the sales CRM and refining workflows throughout the customer journey
• Line managing the in-house Salesforce Admin
• Managing the company quality management system to ensure the consistent delivery of world class service, including complaints management and NPS / sentiment analysis
• Line managing the People & Culture Manager, and working closely with them to devise an ongoing training programme for all sales staff
• Managing all sales-related operations, including phone and IT systems
• Attending monthly board meetings and contributing, from a sales perspective, on key business decisions
• Sitting on the design review panel, and honing selection criteria for homes to market from a commercial perspective
• Working with the FD to determine sales and appraisals commission and pay structures, and sitting on the remuneration committee as required
• Acting as the company MLRO, and working closely with the FD to ensure compliance processes are in place across the business
• Scoping out, proposing and managing new services to expand the company’s sales offering and reach, i.e. developing a buyer service / regional offices
• Working closely with the marketing team to manage relationships with key property portals, and scoping out new opportunities for exposure where relevant
• Collaborating with the Head of Marketing to identify key areas of demand and potential growth, to inform audience targeting and campaign messaging
• Inputting on IT and tech development projects as required
• Undertaking regular competitor and market analysis and reporting insights back to the board and wider team as appropriate

The successful candidate will have:
• A good understanding of the typical property transaction process – both the positives and the negatives – and a desire to reimagine how this might look
• An appreciation for brand-led businesses, and a genuine interest in design, art and wellbeing
• A love of systems and processes, and significant experience in overseeing both a large sales pipeline and customer service operations
• Excellent commercial judgment and a growth mindset
• Proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate a large team

Please note, all applicants should be within commuting distance of London office.
£60k-£80k basic salary, plus bonus
