The role of Recruitment Consultant/Administrator is to support Lacey and the business in the next stage in its development. This is a varied role that requires a proactive and highly organised individual with proven administrative experience, efficient time management skills and an excellent standard of attention to detail. As well as being able to work independently with plenty of initiative and ideas for optimising processes and efficiency, the ideal candidate will be good at supporting colleagues, a strong level of emotional intelligence, a good sense of judgement and first-rate people skills. The role will have responsibility for sourcing and communicating with candidates for national and international roles, maintaining systems and processes, as well as managing social media and marketing efforts.

Personal Specification 

Experience

  • Educated to degree level
  • Previous experience working in a similar administrative role
  • Experience working in recruitment or interviewing desirable

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent administrative and organisation skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise a number of varied tasks and multiple deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Tech savvy, with good computer literacy and knowledge of database management
  • Well-versed in current social media channels, especially Twitter and Facebook

Responsibilities

Recruitment Consultancy

  • Using the database, LinkedIn, and professional networks to source candidates for active roles
  • Reaching out to relevant candidates for recommendations for active roles
  • Acting as the principle point of contact and support for candidates throughout the recruitment process
  • Meeting and interviewing candidates in person or via Skype to discuss their experience and suitability for active roles; advising on career routes, progression and opportunities
  • Providing a redacted CV and points on each candidate’s suitability to be submitted to the client
  • Briefing candidate on role and recruitment process and scheduling interview times
  • Managing and developing candidate relationships, following up with updates on recruitment process and providing constructive feedback on applications
  • Representing LWAI at key industry events, conferences and open days

Administration

  • Adding new candidates to database and updating contact details, LinkedIn profiles and tags
  • Updating and maintaining Slack with active roles, search progress and interested candidates
  • Providing ad hoc administrative and technical support to the Director as required

Research

  • Keeping up to date with art and recruitment industry news and trends, identifying potential clients and new opportunities
  • Keeping track of all upcoming art fairs, identifying and contacting exhibitors
  • Sourcing and contacting potential clients listing job openings on arts boards

Communications

  • Updating social media on a regular basis with arts or recruitment articles, current jobs, and Guess the Artist
  • Proactively engaging strategies to grow and better engage social media audience
  • Composing and sending quarterly newsletters to mailing list
