About the Client
Our client is a major international gallery. With galleries in Spain and France, it articulates an intergenerational exhibition programme focused on the best of post-war and contemporary Spanish art, alongside works by key twentieth-century avant-garde artists.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
The client is looking for a self-motivated, driven and dynamic Contemporary Sales Manager to join their team in their Barcelona gallery.
Creation
- Create contemporary Collectors map
- Create maps of museums and foundations (Spain, Europe, America, and Asia)
- Create Proposals from artists vs. projects (fairs, galleries, pop-ups) for the next 3 years
- Revise the gallery’s existing database; add interests x artists and grails of contemporaries
- One-to-one follow-up with contemporary clients
- Contact artists on a weekly basis to assess their needs, progress, etc.
- Visit the studio physically on a monthly basis
- Quarterly artist evaluations – prepare results, external and internal feedback
- Quarterly analysis of new artists to incorporate
Participation
- Participate in the proposals for contemporary fair and exhibition facilities
- Participate in contemporary fairs and pop-ups
- Prepare commercial files of fairs and expos
- Send resale contracts to customers, and invoices
Desirable Attributes, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Organized, strong attention to detail, and multitasking ability
- Initiative and ability to work to multiple deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills
- Proficiency in MS Office

Salary: 2200-2500 Euros plus commission, depending on experience
