Our client is a contemporary art gallery located in the centre of London. This is an exciting opportunity to join their growing team as an Artist Liaison.

Main responsibilities:

  • Being the primary link between the gallery and the artists and maintaining communication with artists on a regular basis.
  • Working closely and reporting to Founding director on signing up new artists to the gallery programme.
  • Actively promoting sales of artworks and maximising opportunities for works to be consigned.
  • Project managing exhibitions in a detailed manner, supporting artists on the organisation, conception and installation of their exhibitions.
  • Networking with public institutions and museums in UK and Europe.
  • Managing budgets for artist exhibitions and production.
  • Representing the gallery at major art events such as artists exhibition openings and fairs.

Skills & Experience:

  • MA in Art History or similar art subjects.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position in the field of contemporary art, with transferrable experience.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of most recent events in contemporary art industry.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise conflicting demands and handle high pressure situations.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Organised and attentive to detail.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels and presentable manner.
  • Knowledge of another language is a plus.

Timeline: Full-time

Salary: £45-55k plus benefits
