Account Management/Client Relations

  • Assisting with planning developing and implementing strategy – formulating campaigns, copywriting and brand strategies
  • Assist with conceiving, developing and implementing client account strategies
  • Create campaign timelines and schedules for distributing press materials and ensure they are adhered to
  • Writing and editing releases etc
  • Create client reports in collaboration with Account Executive
  • Deal with or delegate press requests
  • Lead client meetings in conjunction with Account Director
  • Present ideas and strategies effectively to clients with confidence to command respect and instill trust
  • Assist your Account Director in working with clients to assess issues, develop recommendations and implement business improvement processes
  • Use experience to deal with difficult situations that arise and problem solve issues alongside your Account Director

Media Relations

  • Face to face press appointments with press including freelancers
  • Pitching / journalist follow-up of send outs
  • Develop and maintain good working relations with the media
  • Be abreast of new media developments including new publications and social media

Team Management

  • Demonstrate strong management and leadership skills
  • Manage the Account Executives and Interns – training, guidance and motivation on the accounts you are manager for
  • Understanding of admin connected with running accounts and priorities
  • Instigate meetings to discuss clients / brainstorming / campaign ideas

New Business

  • Assist on the creation of proposals
  • New business/representing the agency through networking

Salary guidelines are as follows:

Junior Account Manager £25-27k (3 years experience)

Account Manager £28-30k (3-4 years)

Senior Account Manager £30-32k (4 -5+ years experience)
