The Role: Our client is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Management & Operations Associate with creative vision and the ability to lead and manage the London based gallery space and their professional development programme, with a small and vibrant team. You must have ambition and determination to explore new ideas and are passionate about the development and growth of the company. You also have excellent communication and telephone manner and are confident dealing with a broad range of people. You will assist in developing the business into the next phase with a state of the art website and e-commerce platform, the opening of a second space in Mayfair and international exhibitions, whilst maintaining a solid local base in the West London community. Your role will be to supervise the operation of the establishment; to ensure that the highest standards are achieved and maintained in accordance with quality assurance policies and that all legal specifications are adhered to in line with the Health and Safety Policy.

?Ensuring the gallery has appropriate tools and systems to operate efficiently and
?Overseeing administrative elements including contracts, invoices and negotiations
?Demonstrating passion and commitment to the core ethos and values of the business
?Actively cultivating client base, sponsors and partners through the gallery and external
?Perform sales floor work such as greeting and assisting customers and taking inventory.
?Develop and implement marketing strategies including advertising campaigns and sales
?Plan and direct activities such as sales promotions, coordinating with other team
?Ensuring that all departments operate within agreed budgets and achieve agreed targets
?To ensure that everything that is carried out in the business adds value for the customer
and end user
?Implement systems for reviewing all operating costs to ensure that they are consistently
in line with focused revenue in conjunction with the Financial Controller and report back
?Through information received from guest questionnaires and other forms of guest
feedback ensure that in conjunction with the Heads of Department, the business is addressing service issues and constantly developing standards and products in line with customers’ needs and Brand Values
?Ensure each department operates in compliance with all legal requirements
?To ensure H.R procedures are followed in each department.
?To pro-actively develop subordinates.
?Ensure that all agreed control procedures are followed through in each department
?Conduct appraisals for all direct reports on a bi-annual basis
?Agree objectives in line with business and brand objectives and values, and ensure H.O.D’s carry out appraisals with the teams
?Comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health and Safety, Fire, Licensing and
Food Handling and ensure that yourself and all members of the team are aware of and
working in accordance with these requirements
?To ensure that yield management is actively practised to ensure the optimum revenue
from the business ‘product’ ranges
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong knowledge of Excel as well as design editing software such as Photoshop.
- Confident in handling finances and basic accountancy.
- Competent at editing written text for press and publication.
- Experience in online sales strategies (roles at Net-a-Porter or ASOS ideal)
- Experience in curating desired but not essential.
- Previous experience in a similar role will be beneficial but not essential.
The ability to multi-task and manage your time effectively is paramount. Working front of
house at peak times and dealing with administration and client relationship management
during any down time.
Hours are based on a 40 hour week working between the hours of 10am and 7pm, with
flexibility for business needs. This is a six day working operation and you will be expected
to be part of the operation at weekends as required. In addition to working 4 days during the week, you will be expected to work 11am to 7pm on a Saturday or 12am to 5pm on a Sunday (once opened).
We are seeking a committed, confident, positive individual with a mature attitude and
outlook, who is very well presented - standards for grooming are expected to be at a six
star standard, and willing to go the extra mile.
You should be resilient and able to deal with challenges taking a proactive approach to
ensure standards of service are maintained at all times.
Hours: Full time. Weekdays and weekends (Saturdays a must), including additional

Starting salary: £18,000-£23,000 + annual bonus and possible share options
The role is available to begin immediately.
2-3 years prior paid experience is preferred but not essential.
